Policecat on retirement

After 10 years of service one of the London last policecats Reagan by name had retired.

Being quite young (8 months old), a snow-white short-haired cat was hired to work at a London police station Snow Hill whose duties were quite usual for cats. Not just sleep and purr but also catch mice and rats.

Reagan was not the only cat at the station. He worked together with his partner, Carter. Both toms were deaf by nature which did not interfere with their duties acting. Alas, after 18 months stay at the station Carter died and Reagan continued to catch mice alone.

He was lucky enough to star at a TV documentary and be nominated for a collective merits reward. Also Reagan has got his page at the social net Facebook.

At a gala party dedicated to the cat’s retirement his colleagues are going to reward him with an honorary certificate. Reagan’s purrfessionalism as well as “100% rats and mice detention results” will be marked in it. At the gala ceremony the constable-cat will be introduced to his new owners, parents of one of the officer’s of the station.
